The best and worst fits for the best remaining NFL free agents.

The NFL offseason is in full swing, and while we're deep into rookie minicamps and OTAs, there's still plenty of action to track. In just three short months, we'll be glued to preseason games, debating fourth-stringers and placing friendly bets on the Hall of Fame Game just to get our football fix. But before we get there, several high-caliber free agents remain on the market—and as any savvy fan knows, fit is everything. Even the most talented players can struggle if they land in the wrong system. Let's break down the best remaining free agents, along with their ideal landing spots and the situations they should avoid.

First, a quick note: We're not including Aaron Rodgers here. He's essentially doing the equivalent of sighing loudly in a room, hoping someone asks what's wrong, before he inevitably signs with the Steelers. We'll leave that drama for another day.

Stefon Diggs – Wide Receiver
After two years, it feels like the Bills' front office should be playing Cinderella's "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)" on repeat. Buffalo hasn't found a true No. 1 receiver since trading Diggs to the Texans in April 2024. Meanwhile, Diggs just wrapped up an 85-catch season with the New England Patriots that ended in a Super Bowl appearance. The tension between Diggs and former Bills head coach Sean McDermott appears to be the root of the breakup, but both Diggs and Josh Allen have publicly praised each other—even sharing an embrace after New England's Sunday night win over Buffalo in 2025. If those wounds can heal, reuniting Diggs with Allen, alongside D.J. Moore, Khalil Shakir, and Skylar Bell, would give the Bills arguably the deepest wide receiver room of Allen's career. For both sides, chasing a Super Bowl together again would be the ultimate win-win.

Worst Fit: Baltimore Ravens
For all the jokes about the Tennessee Titans being a graveyard for star receivers (Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins), the Ravens have quietly built a similar reputation. Baltimore has a history of signing older pass-catchers—hello, DeSean Jackson and Dez Bryant—and failing to maximize their talents. Diggs deserves a system that highlights his route-running and chemistry with a franchise QB, not another stop where his prime years could fade into obscurity.
