In a tightly contested pitchers' duel, Beekmantown managed to string together timely hits to secure a 6-1 victory over Plattsburgh, proving that sometimes it's the small moments that make the biggest difference on the diamond.

The game remained scoreless until the third inning, when the Eagles' bats finally broke through. Gillian Roberts, Meegan Burdo, and Ashley Barnes each delivered crucial singles, providing just enough offense to support a stellar performance in the circle. Lindsey Shanley added the only extra-base hit of the contest with a double, giving Beekmantown the breathing room they needed.

On the mound, Lily Perry earned the win after an impressive outing, fanning 10 batters and keeping Plattsburgh's hitters off balance all game. Despite the loss, Halle Burdo matched Perry's intensity, striking out nine in a strong effort that kept her team within striking distance.

"Both pitchers threw very well, which caused both teams to struggle at bat," Beekmantown coach Ashley Barnes said. "Hits were hard to come by. Gillian Roberts, Meegan Burdo and Ashley Barnes were able to string three singles together in one inning, which made the difference. It was a very close contest with limited hits and errors by both squads."

The final line saw Perry and Burnham handling catching duties, with Shanley's double standing as the game's lone extra-base hit.

In other action around the league, Saranac's bats came alive as the Spartans pounded out 12 hits in a 13-2 rout of Peru. Abby Carter and Emily McDermott each tripled to lead the offensive charge, while the Spartans played crisp defense behind their pitcher.

Peru coach Amie Marshall noted the toll of a packed schedule, saying, "Saranac put together a strong, well-rounded performance on the softball field, showcasing both solid defense and effective hitting throughout the game. They were sharp defensively and consistently made plays behind their pitcher while also finding success at the plate. Overall, it was a strong showing by Saranac while we look to regroup and sharpen our focus moving forward."

Baxter earned the win for Saranac, with Hanson catching, while Bateman took the loss for Peru, relieved by Siskavich in the sixth. Ryan (SCS) and Narducci (PCS) each doubled, while Carter and McDermott's triples highlighted the Spartans' extra-base power.

Meanwhile, Saranac Lake's offense was relentless, scoring in all but one inning to defeat Moriah 13-3. The Red Storm collected 16 hits, with Ellie Willett and Kasey Clark each notching three. Roberts earned the win, with Colby providing relief in the fourth, while Sargent took the loss for Moriah, relieved by Courtright in the fifth. Akey's triple was the only extra-base hit of the game.

In the day's most dramatic contest, Lake Placid staged a thrilling comeback, rallying from a 10-4 deficit after four innings to edge Willsboro 11-10 in walk-off fashion. The Wolves began chipping away at the Bombers' lead before Lake Placid plated one in the bottom of the seventh to send the home crowd into a frenzy.

Both teams showcased impressive pitching, with Lake Placid's Willow Wood striking out 14 batters and Willsboro's Laney Nolette fanning 10. But it was the Wolves' Raegan Morgan who stole the show at the plate, leading all players with three hits, including a double and a triple. Nolette and Morgan handled the pitching duties for Willsboro, with Pike entering in the fifth, while Wood earned the win for Lake Placid, with St. Louis catching. Extra-base hits included doubles from Morgan, Nolette, Pike (WCS), and Colby (LP), along with Morgan's triple.
