The Chicago Bears have added some veteran experience to their wide receiver room, signing Scotty Miller after an impressive showing at the team's rookie minicamp tryout. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Miller's performance was enough to earn him a spot on the 90-man roster.

Miller, a former sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, originally made his name with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His standout season came in 2020 when he hauled in 33 catches for 501 yards and three touchdowns across 16 games, including five starts—a career year that showcased his speed and big-play potential.

Since his time in Tampa Bay, the 28-year-old has bounced around the league, spending the 2023 season with the Atlanta Falcons and most recently the Pittsburgh Steelers (2024-25). In 26 games with those two teams, he's totaled 14 receptions for 131 yards with one start.

For a Bears team looking to build depth behind their young offensive weapons, Miller brings a veteran presence and a knack for making plays in space. Whether he can carve out a role on special teams or as a rotational receiver remains to be seen, but his journey from tryout to signed contract is a testament to his determination.
