Christian Falk has firmly denied reports of a move for Aleksandar Pavlović.

The Bayern Munich star recently scored the opening goal in a dramatic 4-3 win over Real Madrid (6-4 agg) to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

With Pavlović off the table, Man City will pivot toward a £100 million pursuit of Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.

Aleksandar Pavlovic may be on Manchester City’s radar, although it has been revealed that the Bayern Munich star is not for a sale and will not leave the Bundesliga club this summer.

Premier League clubs have been keeping an eye on the youngster, including Manchester City’s rivals United, while Real Madrid have also been monitoring the Bayern Munich star.

Pep Guardiola and sporting director Hugo Viana believe midfield positions need bolstering, in part due to the ongoing uncertainty over Rodri’s future, with the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner refusing to shut down rumours of an exit or committing to a new contract.

Similarly, the La Liga side are in the same boat with Eduardo Camavinga and may consider selling him this summer, meaning Pavlovic makes for the perfect replacement – although any move appears unlikely.

The 21-year-old has been outstanding for Vincent Kompany’s side this season and established himself as a key figure in the side that won yet another Bundesliga title, and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

As a homegrown talent, Bayern Munich do not want to get rid of the player and Pavlovic himself does not want to leave after making 93 appearances for the club to date, as reported by journalist Christian Falk.

“Real Madrid and Manchester City made enquiries about Pavlović. Maybe Madrid would like to have him after he scored the first goal against them in the Champions League. But no, there has been no offer, no talks with the agent, no talks with the club,” Falk said on Bayern Insider.

“Perhaps they and Pep Guardiola think he’s an interesting player, but he’s a Munich man. He loves Bayern Munich; he came up through the youth ranks. I believe that behind Manuel Neuer, he’s spent the most time at the club,” he continued.

“The 21-year-old is a young player but was in the youth teams. He loves this club and I don’t think he’d leave at the moment. They certainly have one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. Perhaps even the best in Europe. He’s a big part of this side, so why should he leave?”

Aside from matters concerning the Bayern Munich man, Manchester City are believed to have already made it a priority to sign Nottingham Forest and England international midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer, who holds a heavy price tag of around £100 million.

Elsewhere, there have also been links between those at the Etihad Stadium and Sporting CP’s Morten Hjulmand, while Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali is another name believed to be on Hugo Viana’s shortlist.
