Bayern Munich's Champions League dreams came crashing down in heartbreaking fashion, as a sluggish start against Paris Saint-Germain proved too costly to overcome. The Bavarians, playing at home in the second leg, needed a fiery performance from the opening whistle—but instead, they delivered a tepid display that left their European hopes in tatters.

Vincent Kompany's side simply took too long to find their rhythm. Key players struggled to get into the flow of the game, and by the time Bayern woke up, PSG had already seized control. Defender Jonathan Tah didn't mince words when reflecting on the missed opportunity. "Both games were very close. They were different games, but in the end, they advanced. Paris scored the early goal and then defended well. If we had scored our goal a bit earlier, we would have been in a better position," he admitted, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.

The numbers tell a familiar story of wastefulness. Bayern created three big chances—matching PSG's tally but only half of what they managed in the first leg. Expected goals (xG) figures favored Manuel Neuer's men in both legs, but a lack of clinical finishing haunted them once again. "Unfortunately, we didn't create that many chances. It's obviously very disappointing. But to be successful, you have to be able to handle different situations. I think we can be proud of the way we performed overall," Tah added.

There's no denying the resilience Bayern showed after trailing 5-2 in the first leg—pulling it back to 5-4 was a monumental effort. But if Kompany's squad had been more aggressive with their shots, both in quality and quantity, the outcome might have been very different. For fans, this exit stings, but it's a reminder that in football, timing is everything. Sometimes, even the best kits and sharpest tactics can't compensate for a slow start when the stakes are this high.
