Bayern Munich are not currently planning to extend Nicolas Jackson’s spell at the club beyond this season.
Jackson joined Bayern on loan from Chelsea last summer and has scored nine goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. Bayern hold an option to turn Jackson’s loan into a permanent transfer, for a fee in the region of £70m.
However, the German champions do not plan to activate that clause, or negotiate with Chelsea over an extension to the loan.
Sky Germany are reporting that Bayern have been satisfied with Jackson’s performances this season but are not prepared to meet the asking price.
Jackson is set to return to Chelsea in the summer and will have several options to consider in the upcoming transfer window. A number of clubs, including Newcastle United and Aston Villa, have been linked with the Senegal international.
