Paris Saint-Germain booked their ticket to the Champions League final with a tense 6-5 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, leaving Vincent Kompany's side to rue what might have been.

After a thrilling first leg that ended 5-4 in PSG's favor, the defending champions showed their pedigree in Munich, securing a 1-1 draw that was just enough to see them through. The result sets up a mouthwatering final against Arsenal in Budapest on May 30th.

The match exploded into life inside just three minutes. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, electric down the left flank, carved through Bayern's high defensive line with a slick one-two before cutting the ball back for Ousmane Dembele, who smashed an unstoppable finish into the roof of the net. Kvaratskhelia's assist made history: he became the first player to register a goal or assist in seven consecutive knockout-stage appearances within a single Champions League campaign.

PSG continued to press, with Kvaratskhelia again causing havoc in the 21st minute, cutting inside and forcing a deflected effort that Manuel Neuer gathered comfortably. But Bayern, as champions do, gradually found their footing.

Michael Olise danced past Nuno Mendes before curling just over the bar, while a moment of controversy arrived when Vitinha's clearance cannoned off teammate Joao Neves' arm inside the box—no penalty given, much to the home crowd's frustration. Neuer then showed his class, tipping Neves' glancing header around the post from a dangerous free-kick.

Jamal Musiala responded with a trademark driving run through midfield, forcing a low save from Matvey Safonov. Bayern came agonizingly close to leveling before halftime when Jonathan Tah, completely unmarked in the box, headed wide from close range—a miss that would prove costly.

PSG regained control after the interval. Desire Doue tested Neuer with a surging run, and Kvaratskhelia was denied by the goalkeeper's outstretched feet moments later. Bayern pushed for the winner but couldn't find the breakthrough, leaving Kompany's men to reflect on a season that promised so much but fell just short on Europe's biggest stage.
