After a challenging 2025 season, the BOLD Warriors baseball team is looking to the future with a fresh, young roster. The squad, which finished last year with a 4-15 record, is focused on rebuilding its pitching staff for the 2026 campaign.
Head coach Brian Kingery, entering his 15th season at the helm, acknowledges the team's youth but sees significant potential. "We are going to be a young but talented team this year," said Kingery, who holds a 218-128 career record. "We are returning five starters from last year's team but we graduated most of our innings pitched. We are hoping to be competitive this year in our section."
The core of returning starters provides a foundation for optimism. Junior Nolan Braulick, a versatile player who will patrol center field and take the mound, leads the group. He's joined by a promising sophomore trio: catcher/pitcher Colton Baumgartner, utility player Marcus Benson, and first baseman Charlie Morse. Freshman Edgar Kopel, who will handle shortstop and pitching duties, rounds out the key returnees.
Coach Kingery is also counting on contributions from seniors Kole Uhlenkamp and Trey Zammeron, along with several underclassmen like sophomores Conner Blad and Colton Marwede. For this young Warriors team, the upcoming season is all about development, grit, and laying the groundwork for a successful turnaround.
