Sunday night is all about the final El Clásico of the season, as Barcelona welcome Real Madrid to Camp Nou in a showdown that could seal the La Liga title for the hosts.
Despite losing the earlier meeting away from home, Barcelona have been nothing short of dominant on their own turf. With a perfect home record of 17 wins from 17 league matches—a feat not achieved since the 1985–86 season—Hansi Flick’s side are in complete control.
Sitting 11 points clear at the top of the table with 88 points, Barcelona are on a 10-game winning streak in La Liga. Their latest triumph, a 2-1 victory over Osasuna on May 3, puts them just one point away from securing their 29th league title.
There’s a significant blow, however: teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. But there’s also reason for optimism. Andreas Christensen has returned to training after a knee problem, though he’s likely to start on the bench given his lack of match fitness. Raphinha is also fit and available for selection.
Robert Lewandowski is expected to lead the attack, with Pedri and Gavi pulling the strings in midfield. Marcus Rashford looks set to start on the wing, while Fermin Lopez may get the nod over Raphinha in the starting XI.
With most of the squad available, Barcelona are expected to field a strong lineup as they aim to clinch the title in front of their passionate home crowd.
Possible Barcelona Starting XI: J. Garcia; Kounde, Cubarsi, Martin, Cancelo; E. Garcia, Pedri; Rashford, Gavi, Fermin; Lewandowski
The match kicks off at 8pm BST on Sunday, 10th May. In the UK, you can catch all the action live on Premier Sports 1 or stream it via Disney+.
Whether you're gearing up for the game or looking to rep your team's colors, make sure you're ready for El Clásico in style.
