Barcelona is taking another bold step in its commercial expansion, moving closer to a new sponsorship deal that could change the look of the first-team shirt starting next season. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club is finalizing a partnership with Ohana Development, a company tied to Barcelona's growing business ventures in Dubai.

If approved, the Ohana Development logo would appear on the lower back section of Barcelona's shirt for domestic competitions, replacing the current UNHCR branding. This deal is expected to bring in around €10 million annually—a welcome financial boost as the club continues to explore new revenue streams to stabilize its economic situation.

Because the sponsorship would alter the official shirt design, it requires approval from Barcelona's General Assembly of Delegates. The board plans to present the proposal at the next assembly meeting, aiming to activate the partnership for the upcoming financial year.

This shirt sponsorship is just one piece of a much larger puzzle. Barcelona is working on an ambitious real estate and lifestyle project in Dubai, which would include luxury residential developments, Barça-themed cafes, and official stores. This model has already been successfully adopted by other top European clubs, and Barcelona is eager to follow suit.

However, there's a catch: UEFA regulations don't allow additional commercial branding in that section of the shirt during Champions League matches. So, while fans can expect to see the new logo in La Liga and domestic cups, the Fundació Barça logo will remain on the shirt for European competitions.

For now, all eyes are on the General Assembly, where the proposal will be put to a vote. If it passes, Barcelona's iconic jersey will sport a new look—and a fresh revenue stream—starting next season.
