Barcelona are on the verge of clinching a second consecutive La Liga title after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Osasuna at El Sadar on Saturday. The win was powered by goals from Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, but it was the substitutes who truly made the difference in this tense encounter.

The match started with both sides feeling each other out, and Barcelona's goalkeeper had a relatively quiet first half, making a fine save to deny Ante Budimir. However, he was left helpless late in the game when Osasuna pulled one back through Raul Garcia de Haro, ending hopes of another clean sheet.

In defense, Barcelona's utility man put in a solid shift, though a late yellow card marred an otherwise reliable performance. Youngster Cubarsi continued his impressive run of form, delivering a crucial last-man challenge early on that set the tone for his night. Meanwhile, the central defender dealt well with Budimir for most of the game, but will be disappointed to have lost track of Garcia de Haro for the goal.

The left-back, on loan from Al Hilal, also had a solid outing defensively, though he shared some blame for the late lapse. In midfield, one player continues to grow in confidence with each passing week, controlling the tempo for Barcelona despite a worrying knock to his knee in the second half. Another midfielder battled hard as always, but was hampered by an early yellow card and was substituted early in the second period.

Out wide, a Swedish winger was handed a second consecutive start by manager Hansi Flick, but he struggled to make an impact against Javi Galan. His replacement, Rashford, fared much better and injected energy into the attack. Meanwhile, another attacker missed a big chance to open the scoring early in the second half, summing up an ineffective display.

When moved inside, one player became much more effective, linking up well with Torres for the second goal. And it was the veteran striker, Lewandowski, who broke the deadlock on 81 minutes, heading home for his 17th goal of the season—13 of those in La Liga. His presence brought a calmness to the team when it was needed most.

This victory puts Barcelona on the brink of another title, and with the depth and resilience shown here, they look well-equipped to finish the job.
