Barcelona are already planning for life after Robert Lewandowski, and they've set their sights on a Premier League star as a potential replacement. The Polish striker is expected to leave the Catalan club when his contract expires this summer, prompting the Blaugrana to explore their options.

While Julian Alvarez remains Barcelona's top target, Atletico Madrid have no intention of letting their star man go. Alvarez's contract runs until 2030, and the Rojiblancos are even prepared to offer him an improved deal through 2032 to ward off interest. Only a massive transfer fee could change their stance, but Barcelona's tight finances make that unlikely.

That's where Chelsea's Joao Pedro comes in. According to Marca, Barcelona have identified the Brazilian international as a prime candidate to fill Lewandowski's boots. The 24-year-old joined Chelsea last summer for £60 million and has been a revelation in West London, tallying 14 goals and 8 assists in 32 Premier League appearances this season.

Pedro's versatility is a major plus—he's primarily been used as a striker but can also operate as a left winger or second striker. His work rate, intelligent movement, dribbling skills, and finishing ability make him a complete forward. However, Chelsea consider him untouchable given his impressive debut campaign.

Meanwhile, the Blues could entertain offers for other forwards like Liam Delap or Nicolas Jackson. Delap has struggled in his first season after joining from Ipswich Town, starting just 11 times in the Premier League. Jackson, on the other hand, has impressed on loan at Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga side have opted against making the move permanent.

For Barcelona, landing Pedro would be a statement signing—a young, dynamic striker who could lead their line for years to come. But with Chelsea reluctant to sell, the Blaugrana may need to get creative in the transfer market.
