Hansi Flick could coach La Liga champion Barcelona until 2029 after announcing he has reached an agreement to extend his contract by at least a year. Barcelona has not officially announced the contract extension. Flick also said on Tuesday that Barcelona will try to break the 100-point mark this season by winning its final three league matches.

Barcelona fans, get ready for more of Hansi Flick's magic on the sidelines! The La Liga champions have secured their title-winning manager for the long haul, with Flick himself confirming a contract extension that could keep him at the Camp Nou through 2029.

Speaking on Tuesday, the German tactician revealed he's "really happy" about the new deal, which extends his current contract through the 2027-28 season—with an option for both parties to add another year. "They gave me and my team the confidence to work one or two years more," Flick said. "I really appreciate it a lot."

This news comes hot on the heels of Barcelona's dominant 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Sunday, a win that secured back-to-back La Liga titles. But Flick isn't content to rest on his laurels. With three matches remaining, the Blaugrana have set their sights on an even loftier goal: breaking the 100-point mark. Currently sitting at 91 points, they'll need to win out to reach that historic milestone.

"The team, and I, want 100 points," Flick declared ahead of Wednesday's visit to Alaves. "For that we have to win the three games we have left."

It's been an emotional week for the Barcelona boss, who lost his father just before Sunday's El Clásico. But the outpouring of support from the club and its fans has only strengthened his resolve. "Over the last few days they've shown me I'm in the right place," he said.

Flick's journey to Barcelona began in May 2024, when he replaced club legend Xavi Hernández. Prior to that, he enjoyed tremendous success with Bayern Munich, winning the Champions League, and also managed the German national team. Now, with his future secured, he's poised to build a lasting legacy in Catalonia.

For Barcelona supporters, the message is clear: the Flick era is just getting started. And with a 100-point season in sight, the best may be yet to come.
