With their Champions League push now over, Barcelona have just the La Liga title left in front of them as the 2025/26 season comes to a close.
The Blaugrana were dumped from European competition by Atletico Madrid in a contentious two-legged quarterfinal that left Barca fuming at the refereeing decisions across both matches.
That left them with only the league title push to focus on through the rest of their fixtures this season, hoping to hold off Real Madrid for what would be their second consecutive championship.
The Sporting News looks at what Barcelona's remaining schedule looks like and what they need to do to close out the league title.

After Champions League elimination, Barcelona went into their final seven games of the La Liga season with a nine-point lead ahead of second-place Real Madrid in the title race.
There has been some success in recent meetings for Celta Vigo scoring goals against Hansi Flick's high defensive line. To this point, they have not been able to also deal with the pressure along their own back line, conceding eight goals in their last two meetings, but it's possible Barcelona get caught in this game against an opponent that knows how to take advantage of their style of play. It could make the title race a little more interesting, if not wide open.

The previous meeting at this venue between these two clubs last season saw them play to a 1-1 draw, but the reality was Barcelona were by far the better side, and they will avoid that kind of adverse result this time around, managing to put the ball in the net enough to snatch the three points, just like they did at home against Getafe earlier this season.

Osasuna picked up a deserved victory last time these two teams met at this venue, with a shocking 4-2 result sending Hansi Flick's head spinning as he departed Estadio El Sadar in September of 2024. This time around, things should be quite different, as Osasuna have little to play for in the mid-table doldrums and Barcelona will be well rested to snatch a big three points in the title race.

Regardless what happens in the other matches, Real Madrid will have to collect all three points in this match if they are to even sniff a comeback in La Liga play. Unfortunately for Los Blancos, Barcelona do not have Champions League to distract them from the league title race, and the leaders will prove they are the better team by sealing the domestic crown in this match.

With the title almost surely within reach by this point in the season, against a team they have so routinely dispatched, Barcelona should have no problems taking the victory here, especially if there's a chance the silverware could be officially secured with victory in this game.

This could be a difficult match against an opponent that's fighting for a Champions League place. Yet Real Betis's form has slipped through the final third of the season, and whether the La Liga title is mathematically wrapped up by this point or not, it's likely that Barcelona's biggest motivation for a result in this match will be giving the home fans one last victory to pay thanks for their loyalty and support all season long. The Blaugrana should usher the season to a close in winning fashion.
