Early in the second quarter, Adebayo was hustling to save a ball from going out of bounds when Hornets guard LaMelo Ball inadvertently took his foot out from under him mid-air. The Heat captain lost his balance and fell hard directly onto his tailbone, unable to brace his impact. Adebayo is the undisputed anchor of Miami's defense—a three-time All-Star and five-time All-Defensive Team selection whose versatility allows him to guard all five positions. This season, he's been a consistent force, averaging 20.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, including a historic 83-point performance in March.

His potential absence would leave a massive void on both ends of the floor as Miami navigates this critical win-or-go-home stretch of the season.
