The Baltimore Ravens are adding depth to their quarterback room, agreeing to a one-year deal with signal-caller Skylar Thompson, a source confirmed on Monday.

Thompson, 28, entered the league as a seventh-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2022 NFL Draft. Over his first 10 career appearances, he threw for 721 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions—showing flashes of potential despite limited opportunities.

After the Dolphins waived him in 2024, Thompson landed on their practice squad before signing a futures contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers last offseason. However, he spent nearly the entire campaign on injured reserve.

Now, Thompson joins a Ravens quarterback room headlined by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, with backups Tyler Huntley, Diego Pavia, and Joe Fagnano also vying for roster spots. It's a competitive group that could benefit from Thompson's experience and poise under pressure.

Baltimore just wrapped up rookie minicamp over the weekend, with organized team activities set to kick off May 18. The team's mandatory minicamp is scheduled for June 9-10, giving Thompson and the rest of the squad a crucial window to build chemistry before training camp.

For Ravens fans, this signing adds another layer of intrigue to an already stacked offense—and a reminder that depth at quarterback is key for any team with Super Bowl aspirations.
