Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate, Baisangur Susurkaev, pulled off a win at UFC 328 with a move he barely trains.

In a stunning display at UFC 328, Khamzat Chimaev's teammate Baisangur Susurkaev proved that sometimes the most dangerous moves are the ones you least expect. The undefeated Chechnyan secured a third-round rear-naked choke submission victory over Djorden Santos in their middleweight prelim bout on Saturday—despite admitting he rarely trains submissions.

From the opening bell, Susurkaev showcased his striking dominance, but the tough Brazilian Santos refused to back down, landing his own shots in return. As the fight progressed into the third round, Susurkaev shifted gears, taking Santos to the mat and locking in a fight-ending choke that sent a clear message to the middleweight division.

In a candid post-fight interview, Susurkaev dropped a bombshell about his training regimen. "I never train submissions in the gym," he revealed to the UFC. "I try sometimes but I can't. I don't know why. And my teammates tell me every time—when I do something like grappling in fight—they say, 'How you do it? In training you can't do it.' I say, 'I don't know how I do it. Maybe when I'm scared I do something.'"

This revelation adds an intriguing layer to Susurkaev's growing resume. Now boasting a perfect 12-0 record, "Hunter" has finished all three of his UFC victories, with two coming by rear-naked choke. For Santos (11-3), the loss marks his second defeat in three UFC appearances.

With a playful warning for his future opponents, Susurkaev added: "I tell him, 'Go sleep brother, I need money.'" It's a mindset that's clearly working for this rising star, proving that sometimes the most dangerous fighters are those who discover their finishing instincts when it matters most.
