Friday's game was played in Fort Hood as part of the UFL's 'Hats Off to Heroes' initiative, where teams honored active service members and veterans.

The Dallas Renegades' losing streak has stretched to five games, as they fell 31-24 to the Orlando Storm on Friday night at Phantom Warrior Stadium in Fort Hood. The game was part of the UFL's "Hats Off to Heroes" initiative, where teams honored active service members and veterans, adding a special layer of significance to the matchup.

Dallas (3-5) came out firing, jumping to a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter. Quarterback Austin Reed connected with receiver Emmanuel Butler for a 3-yard touchdown pass with 11:15 left in the first half, giving the Renegades a commanding start. However, the Storm quickly responded, tying the game on a 1-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Jack Plummer just before halftime.

The second half turned into a seesaw battle, but Orlando (6-2) seized control with rushing touchdowns from Jashaun Corbin and KJ Hamler. Reed and Butler rekindled their chemistry for another fourth-quarter score, but it wasn't enough as the clock ran out on Dallas's comeback hopes.

Reed finished with 134 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, while Butler hauled in three catches for 21 yards and two scores. Despite the individual efforts, the Renegades now sit sixth in the UFL standings and will look to regroup against the Louisville Kings on Sunday, May 24, at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.
