Auburn softball's Alyssa Hastings has made an immediate impact in her first season on the Plains. The junior infielder, who transferred from Lipscomb, was named to the All-SEC Second Team on Friday, as voted by the league's coaches.
Hailing from Huntsville, Alabama, Hastings becomes the 46th Auburn Tiger to earn All-SEC honors—a testament to the program's storied tradition. She joins teammate AnnaLea Adams (2025) in this elite group, having recently also been recognized on the SEC Community Service Team. It's a double honor that speaks to her talent both on and off the field.
Hastings proved to be a defensive rock and offensive powerhouse during conference play. She tallied 23 hits, 12 walks, 17 RBIs, 10 runs, and four home runs. Defensively, she was nearly flawless: 20 putouts, 50 assists, and a stellar .986 fielding percentage—committing just one error all season. That kind of consistency is what championship teams are built on.
At the plate, Hastings was Auburn's most reliable bat, posting a .307 batting average, a .402 on-base percentage, and a .547 slugging percentage. Her signature moment came in game two of the series against Ole Miss, where she drove in seven runs—the second-highest single-game total in school history. Not bad for a first-year Tiger in the SEC.
For fans looking to gear up like their favorite Auburn star, Hastings' performance is a reminder that the right equipment and mindset can elevate any player's game. Whether it's a reliable glove or a powerful bat, her season shows that preparation meets opportunity on the biggest stages.
