Auburn football is about to get a massive home-field upgrade. The university's Board of Trustees has granted final approval for a monumental $323 million renovation to the iconic Jordan-Hare Stadium, marking the largest capital project in Auburn's history.
The centerpiece is a new seven-story multi-purpose facility on the stadium's north end, estimated at $305 million. It will feature new kitchens, flexible dining and concession areas, a ballroom, premium suites, and adaptable spaces for both campus and game-day use. An additional $18 million will fund the surrounding "North Plaza," creating an elevated public space above Heisman Drive.
This ambitious project aims to transform the fan and operational experience. Auburn hopes to have portions ready by the 2028 season, with full completion targeted for 2029. The renovation will also include the restoration of the nearby historic Petrie Hall.
The excitement within the athletic department is palpable. "This is a moment for Auburn University — the university, not the athletic department," said Athletics Director John Cohen, calling it a legacy project that will be appreciated for decades. This follows the previous north end zone work, signaling a continued commitment to keeping Jordan-Hare Stadium a premier destination in the fiercely competitive SEC.
