AUBURN — Size, certainly around the basket, was lacking for Auburn basketball last season. But the program continues taking steps to remedy that for its upcoming campaign.

After adding 7-foot big man from France in Narcisse Ngoy — and signing another 7-footer in Santa Clara transfer Bukky Oboye — the program has another addition in its frontcourt, as Creighton transfer Owen Freeman announced his commitment to the Tigers on Monday, April 20.

TRANSFER TRACKER: Who's in, out following Auburn basketball's 2025-26 season

A 6-foot-10 forward, with one season of eligibility remaining, Freeman's split his three collegiate seasons between Iowa and Creighton, spending last year with the Bluejays after two years with the Hawkeyes.

At Iowa, Freeman was the 2023-24 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, averaging 10.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. He followed that up with an impressive sophomore season, averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds and an identical blocks per game average.

Freeman entered the portal ahead of his junior year and was one of the most-coveted players on the market. He picked Creighton, but injuries hampered his season. He averaged 5 points and 4 rebounds in 26 games, making only nine starts and averaging 11.9 minutes.
