Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice was spotted at the end of their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City today by the cameras telling his Gunners teammates that the title race is not over, according to Football.London’s journalist Tom Canton. The North London club suffered their fifth loss of the campaign and manager Mikel Arteta was left ruing their missed chances after the match. Rayan Cherki put Man City ahead 16 minutes into the game but Kai Havertz drew the Emirates Stadium club level after two minutes. Arsenal were unable to capitalise on their chances in the second-half, and Erling Braut Haaland gave the hosts the lead in the 65th minute to deal a huge blow on the Gunners’ title chances.

The North Londoners remain top of the Premier League table heading into their final five games of the league campaign, but Man City have a game in hand and both clubs still have plenty to play for. Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they host Newcastle United, while Man City travel to take on Burnley on Wednesday evening. Pep Guardiola’s side will go top of the table if they win at Turf Moor, and the Gunners will be praying that does not happen. Arteta and his men missed a huge chance to prove their worth today and will only have themselves to blame if they do not win the title.

They have not given up yet and a victory against Newcastle will be huge as they head into their most important fixtures of 2025-26.
