Arsenal's David Raya has been showered with praise from both manager Mikel Arteta and legendary goalkeeper David Seaman after securing his third consecutive Premier League Golden Glove award in emphatic fashion.
The Spanish shot-stopper entered the weekend already leading the race with 17 clean sheets, and his dominant performance against West Ham United on Sunday pushed that tally to an unmatchable 18. This marks Raya's third straight Golden Glove win—taking the award outright in 2023/24 and 2025/26, while sharing it in 2024/25.
What makes this achievement even more special is how Raya earned it. During the tense West Ham clash, he produced a vital save to deny Mateus Fernandes what looked like a certain opening goal. But it was his decision-making in the dying moments that truly caught the eye of Seaman.
"Massive credit to David Raya tonight," Seaman posted on social media. "If he had tried to punch that ball, he might not have gotten away with it. But because he had the balls and the bravery to come out to catch it, the foul was correctly given!" The former Arsenal keeper was referring to a late corner where Raya's aggressive claiming of the ball led to a West Ham goal being overturned by VAR.
Arteta was equally glowing in his assessment. "David's save, one against one, is the story of the season again," the Arsenal boss said. "When you talk about magic moments, this is certainly one of the most needed moments to pull off that save. He was incredible. He's made several top saves this season, and that says how good he's been."
With 18 clean sheets already—surpassing his previous personal best of 16—Raya still has two games left to extend his record. More importantly, if he can keep two more clean sheets in those final matches, Arsenal would have a massive chance at lifting the Premier League trophy. For a goalkeeper who has become the backbone of this Arsenal side, there could be no better way to cap off a golden season.
