Arsenal have received a major double boost ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid, with both Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard included in the matchday squad.

The Gunners were without the influential duo for Saturday's hard-fought win over Fulham, sparking concerns over their availability for the crucial European clash. However, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed in Monday's press conference that both players are ready to feature at the Emirates Stadium.

"Yeah, they are in the squad both of them," Arteta said. "It's great because we need options, the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether from the start or after—so it's really, really good news for us to have them both back."

Odegaard was forced off during the first leg in Madrid with a knee problem, while Havertz has been sidelined since coming off in the win over Newcastle last month. Neither participated in the open training session on Monday morning, but Arteta's update suggests they could play a role—either from the start or off the bench.

The timing couldn't be better. With the tie finely poised at 1-1 after a tense first leg in the Spanish capital, having creative forces like Odegaard and the versatile Havertz available gives Arteta valuable tactical flexibility. Odegaard's vision and passing range are crucial for unlocking stubborn defenses, while Havertz offers a unique blend of height, movement, and goal threat in the final third.

The only downside for Arsenal is that defender Jurrien Timber remains unavailable for selection, but the return of two key attacking players will lift spirits in the dressing room and among the home fans. With the Emirates set to be rocking, the Gunners will be confident of finishing the job and booking their place in the final.
