Arsenal have been dealt a devastating blow with the news that defender Ben White will miss the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury.

The 28-year-old right-back was forced off during the first half of Sunday's 1-0 victory over West Ham United after a heavy collision with Crysencio Summerville. He was immediately replaced by Martin Zubimendi, and the club has since confirmed that White sustained a "significant" medial knee ligament injury requiring months of recovery.

This means White will not only miss Arsenal's final two Premier League matches but also the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30th in Budapest. For a team chasing silverware on multiple fronts, losing a key defensive figure at this critical stage is a major setback.

In a club statement, Arsenal said: "Our medical team are now managing Ben's recovery and rehabilitation programme, with everyone fully focused on supporting the aim of Ben being ready for the start of our pre-season preparations."

Adding to the disappointment, White will also be unavailable for this summer's FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. He had only recently returned to the England squad in March—his first call-up since abruptly leaving the 2022 World Cup in Qatar—making this injury a cruel twist for both club and country.

For Arsenal fans, the focus now turns to how the squad will adapt without one of their most reliable defenders. With the title race and European glory still within reach, every player will need to step up in White's absence.
