Liverpool fans will have to wait a little longer to see Conor Bradley back in action. The 22-year-old right-back, who had been turning heads with his performances earlier this season, suffered a significant knee injury during the goalless draw against Arsenal in January. The incident happened in stoppage time when Bradley went down near the touchline and had to be stretchered off—a moment that left fans fearing the worst.
Scans later revealed damage to both bone and ligaments, though thankfully no ACL rupture. Still, the injury was serious enough to require surgery, which took place at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre. That effectively ended his season and also ruled him out of Northern Ireland's crucial World Cup playoff against Italy—a match the nation ultimately lost, making his absence all the more felt.
Bradley later reassured supporters on social media that his surgery had gone well, but the road to recovery has been a long one. Now, manager Arne Slot has offered a cautious update ahead of the Chelsea clash, revealing that Bradley remains "quite far away" from returning to full training.
"In the rehab, it's always important if some steps go well," Slot explained. "It's really difficult in the stage he's in now to predict when he will be back. He's still inside and working really hard, but he is quite far away from going outside—that makes it quite complicated to tell."
For a young player who had been building serious momentum, this setback is a tough one. But Liverpool's priority is ensuring he recovers fully, with no rushed returns or further complications. In the meantime, fans can only watch and wait—and maybe invest in some quality recovery gear to support their own active lifestyles while Bradley works his way back to the pitch.
