Arman Tsarukyan, the UFC lightweight number one contender, isn’t slowing down with his side-quests.

Since his last fight in the UFC back in November, Arman Tsarukyan has made seven appearances outside the Octagon. Most of those bouts have taken place under the Real American Freestyle Wrestling banner.

The Armenian also spent a few months locked in a rivalry with a wrestler turned influencer. Their first match ended in a huge brawl, leading to two more rematches to settle things.

Just over a week ago, the 29-year-old faced off against UFC legend Urijah Faber. He won by Tech Fall and even launched Faber off the mat during their match.

Tsarukyan isn’t just waiting around for his next UFC opportunity. He’s keeping busy, booking another appearance with Real American Freestyle Wrestling.

On May 30th, the top lightweight contender will face off against Keelon Jimison – better known as Mugzy – who has moved from wrestling into the influencer scene.

Mugzy brings a professional wrestling background and some amateur MMA experience to the table. His most recent result was a tech fall win over Clay Guida at RAF 6, marking his third showing with the promotion.

This bout will be Tsarukyan’s fifth outing under the RAF banner in as many months, adding even more exposure to his name outside of the octagon.

The event is headlined by Gable Steveson’s promotional debut against former heavyweight contender Alexandr Romanov. Frankie Edgar returns to action against Merab Dvalishvili, whose previous match-up with Henry Cejudo was called off at short notice due to Cejudo pulling out on fight day.

Colby Covington also features on the card, taking on Chris Weidman in what should be another intriguing matchup. Covington and Tsarukyan have been linked for some time now, but ongoing discussions between RAF and UFC continue to prevent active fighters from facing one another outside their main contracts.
