The Arizona Wildcats women's basketball program is making serious moves in the transfer portal, addressing key roster needs with back-to-back impactful additions. After securing size with 6-foot-3 forward Gerda Raulušaitytė on Monday, head coach Becky Burke and her staff have landed another major frontcourt piece: former Maryland forward Breanna Williams.

Williams, a 6-foot-2 forward with three years of remaining eligibility, announced her commitment to Arizona on Tuesday. She brings a promising blend of size and potential from her time in the competitive Big Ten, having played under former Wildcat Brenda Frese at Maryland. While her playing time was limited as a redshirt freshman, her per-minute production hints at significant upside for the Wildcats' frontcourt.

In her 24 appearances for the Terrapins, which included 13 Big Ten games and an NCAA Tournament contest, Williams averaged 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in just over 10 minutes per game. Project those numbers over a full 40 minutes, and they jump to an impressive 18.3 points and 11.0 rebounds, showcasing the efficient scoring and rebounding punch she can provide.

Her talent is no surprise to those who followed her high school career. A four-star recruit and two-time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year at Skyview High School, Williams was a dominant force, averaging a double-double with 25.2 points and 11.0 rebounds as a senior. She was ranked as the No. 45 prospect nationally in the class of 2024 by ESPN.

Williams' commitment solidifies Arizona's interior for the 2026-27 season. She joins a frontcourt that now includes Raulušaitytė and incoming freshmen Callie Hinder and Priyanka Ponnam, giving Coach Burke a versatile and formidable group of four bigs.

The good news didn't stop there for the Wildcats on Tuesday. The program also officially announced the signing of California transfer Aliyahna 'Puff' Morris, a point guard with valuable Power 4 experience. Morris's arrival addresses a crucial backcourt need, providing leadership and playmaking. Together, the additions of Williams and Morris signal a program aggressively building a roster capable of competing at the highest level of women's college basketball.
