With the No. 34 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected Texas A&M offensive lineman Chase Bisontis on Friday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In the weeks leading up to the draft, Bisontis received significant buzz about becoming a potential first-rounder or early second-round selection due to his astonishing tangibles and experience anchoring the Aggie offensive line. According to Pro Football Focus, Texas A&M's star offensive lineman allowed just one sack in 441 pass protection snaps. Bisontis' outstanding performances earned a solid 70.7 pass protection grade, while notching a 62.7 run blocking grade.
He was considered one of the most underrated guards in this year's draft class. Now, he will be protecting either Jacoby Brissett or Gardner Minshew on Sundays beginning this fall.

At 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, the former four-star recruit from Ramsey, New Jersey, where he became the No. 1 recruit in the state, before arriving in Bryan-College Station for his collegiate career. Bisontis started as a right tackle for the Aggies in 2021, but was moved to left guard for the remainder of his time at Texas A&M. That position move became one of the best moves he could have ever made, as he became an All-SEC blocker in 2025.
His size and frame, along with his impressive film and numbers against elite SEC competition, began to open the eyes of scouts across the league, including the Cardinals, who selected Bisontis on Friday.
Time will tell just how impactful Bisontis will be in his first professional football campaign with Arizona, but his intangibles could make him one of the best pass-protecting guards in this year's rookie class in 2026-27.
