An Argentine star has officially confirmed he's ready to make the move to Liverpool, setting the stage for a busy summer at Anfield. Jeremy Jacquet is expected to be the first of several new arrivals, particularly in the center-back department, where the Reds are looking to bolster their defensive options.

The club has already secured a deal for the young defender to join in July, with the aim of adding much-needed depth to a position currently stretched thin. But Liverpool's plans don't stop there—further reinforcements are firmly on the agenda as part of a broader defensive overhaul. Ifeanyi Ndukwe is also set to join this summer, and more experienced heads are expected to follow.

Much of this activity is being driven by growing uncertainty around the club's existing defenders. Ibrahima Konate is entering the final stages of his contract, and with no extension agreed, the possibility of his departure is becoming increasingly real with each passing day. Meanwhile, Joe Gomez continues to attract interest from elsewhere. He came close to a move to AC Milan last summer, and with his current deal running until 2027, Liverpool could be tempted to sell while his market value remains high.

If both players leave, Jacquet's arrival will only be the beginning. Even if they stay, the Reds already have their sights set on at least one more signing. One name on the club's radar is Marcos Senesi. According to Matteo Moretto, Liverpool have shown "a lot of interest" in the Bournemouth defender, with contact already made and "new" talks expected soon.

Some may raise an eyebrow at the prospect of Senesi, but his recent performance against Crystal Palace made a compelling case. In a dominant 3-0 victory, Senesi dictated the rhythm of play, completing the most passes on the pitch (52) and making 18 passes into the final third. It was a display that pretty much confirmed he's ready to join Liverpool—and exactly the kind of composure and vision the Reds need at the back.
