Many basketball fans are posting on social media about NBA championship contenders as well as the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies.
You will see plenty of thoughtful analysis about the playoffs, breaking down why each series has played out the way it has thus far. But you may also see posts that break your brain and wonder what reality you are living in, too, like a weird trend where folks are posting about a series between the Golden State Warriors and and Memphis Grizzlies.
In this completely fake series that is not rooted in any reality whatsoever, tonight is Game 5. Here is one example, shared by Underdog, the daily fantasy sports platform:

Here is another shared by Real, a mobile sports app with in-game stats and play-by-play updates:
Ja has a game Wednesday btw 😭 https://t.co/3kG5eF4OY9 pic.twitter.com/mvy0UOgUr2
A team-specific affiliate of TheLeadSM.com also spread this frustrating misinformation:
A must win game 5 tomorrow night 🔒 pic.twitter.com/QuTkTiEBl8
Another team-specific affiliate of the Sleeper fantasy sports app also engaged with this mindless drivel.
Warriors just need to keep putting Ja in pick n roll action. Grizzlies have struggled with that all series long but we’ve gone away from it

Posts like this spread like wildfire, especially when real companies are the ones polluting the internet with nonsense.
Others are attributing specific information about the game to ESPN's Shams Charania, who obviously never said anything about a game that will never happen.
LATEST: The Grizzlies have announced Ja Morant would NOT be facing a suspension for attending the Magic game but instead he will be coming off the bench today.“The Memphis Grizzlies will be benching Ja Morant for one game for unexcused absence from the team.”Iisalo was not… pic.twitter.com/NCHFIJ30oQ
