The Dallas Cowboys have been in the news of late with rumors that the franchise could be looking to be part of a big trade.
In several mock drafts, and most notably Mel Kiper Jr.'s for ESPN, Dallas parts ways with picks No. 12 and No. 20 to Cleveland, and moves up to the No. 6 spot.
And in doing so, it gives Dallas access to Ohio State stud linebacker Sonny Styles.
Seen as a player who can help transform Christian Parker's defense from the outset, the Cowboys, if they got Styles, would look vastly different in 2026.
For a defense that needs as many good players as possible, you only get one, even if it is Styles, which means there are still holes in the roster.

So getting one player when the franchise needs to get two out of the first-round.
And that was put to ESPN's Louis Riddick on GetUp, and he understands that thought, but offered an interesting insight into Styles.
"I get it, I understand you want more cracks at it, maybe you can fill a couple more needs," Riddick said. "Sonny [Styles] is can't miss though. He's can not miss. Let me say that again. He is can not miss.
"When you get him, you know you're getting a great player, a great person, and that's exactly what they need on that side of the ball, where all we did was kill them last year and deservedly so. This guy will change that."

Is it willing to get one potentially great player, or instead get two good players to spread the load in 2026?
We've heard Yahoo Sports duo Andrew Siciliano and Charles Robinson both speak to people inside the building, and there doesn't seem to be much appetite to move up, based on their conversations.
Styles is exactly what Dallas needs, though. Is he worth trading up for and parting ways with two first-rounders? Some would say yes, others might be in the camp that the Cowboys need more good players than one great one.
And that is what makes the first-round of the draft, particularly from a Cowboys point of view, so fascinating.
