The rumor mill has churned out another name.

The rumor mill is already heating up as the summer transfer window approaches, and this time, Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon is at the center of the speculation. The 22-year-old England international is reportedly on Barcelona's radar, with the Catalan giants eyeing a new left winger to bolster their attack.

According to RAC1's Alex Pintanel, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick sees Gordon as "a very interesting option for the forward line." This comes amid growing chatter that the Magpies star could be on his way out of St. James' Park at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich also expressing keen interest in his services.

While Gordon's Premier League form this season has seen him net just six goals for Eddie Howe's side, his Champions League performances tell a different story. The winger has been a standout in Europe, scoring 10 times in 12 outings for Newcastle—including memorable strikes against Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, and PSV. (Though it's worth noting that four of those came in a play-off against Qarabag, his ability to rise to the occasion on the big stage is undeniable.)

However, any potential move to the Camp Nou won't come cheap. The Times has previously reported that while Bayern values Gordon at around £55 million, Newcastle is holding out for a fee closer to £75 million for the dynamic attacker. With his pace, directness, and growing pedigree, Gordon could be a game-changer for Barca's frontline—but at that price tag, it's a significant investment.
