The Atlanta Dream made a league-shifting move this offseason, trading with the Chicago Sky to acquire superstar forward Angel Reese—and early returns suggest she's becoming the most complete player in the WNBA.

"I think it was just best for me to move on, and I think it was helpful for both of us," Reese said after the trade. "I'm grateful for Chicago for putting me in a situation where I could come somewhere that I really wanted and people that really wanted me. So, I'm just grateful to turn the page. No love lost. And I'm just really grateful and happy to be here."

She added: "I think it's a part of my journey. Just being able to have, at this point for me, and being able to grow from it. And I'm just really happy to have this opportunity where Atlanta really wanted me to come in and find ways to help them, and them to help me. I've been happy every day. I've shown all 32 teeth every single day."

Reese made her Dream debut in a thrilling 91-90 win over the Minnesota Lynx, posting a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. While it wasn't her most consistent performance, she vowed to be better in her second game—a Tuesday night clash against the Dallas Wings—and she delivered in a major way.

Against the Wings, Reese was a force on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she scored an efficient 12 points, shooting 4-for-8 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Defensively, she added a block and a steal, but her true dominance came on the glass. She finished with 8 offensive rebounds and 8 defensive boards, showcasing a masterclass in all facets of the game.

If Reese continues performing at this level with her new team, she'll be in MVP conversations by season's end. For a player who thrives on intensity and versatility, this move to Atlanta might be exactly what she—and the Dream—needed to reach new heights.
