The Los Angeles Rams are entering the 2026 season with a roster that NFL analysts are calling the most complete in the league—and for good reason.

Last season, the Rams were a powerhouse on offense but had two glaring weaknesses: a thin cornerback group and a special teams unit that ranked among the worst in football. Those flaws ultimately held them back from a deeper playoff run, but the front office wasted no time addressing them this offseason.

In a series of smart moves, the Rams added cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson from the Kansas City Chiefs, giving their secondary an instant upgrade. They also brought in veteran long snapper Joe Cardona and special teams ace Grant Stuard to shore up their kicking game. With those holes filled, the roster looks far more balanced heading into the new season.

NFL.com's Eric Edholm recently ranked the Rams' roster as the most complete in the NFL, and it's easy to see why. The offense, which led the league in several categories last year, returns nearly all of its key playmakers. Edholm called it "the NFL's best," and with that firepower still intact, the Rams should once again be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

On defense, the revamped secondary has the potential to be one of the team's best units in recent memory. The combination of McDuffie, Watson, and returning starters gives defensive coordinator Raheem Morris plenty of versatility and speed on the back end.

The only real question mark is at inside linebacker, where Nate Landman and Omar Speights currently top the depth chart. Edholm noted that the group "doesn't knock your socks off," which is a fair assessment. While major changes before Week 1 are unlikely, the Rams could look to add reinforcements via a trade as the deadline approaches.

Still, with a Super Bowl-caliber core and key weaknesses addressed, the Rams look poised to make another serious championship push. As Edholm put it, this is a roster capable of reaching—and winning—the big game. For now, Los Angeles sits alone at the top as the most complete team in football.
