The Baltimore Ravens' offensive line remains a work in progress as offseason workouts approach, and all eyes are on rookie standout Vega Ioane to provide a much-needed boost. Widely regarded as the best guard in this year's draft class, Ioane has the potential to be a game-changer for Baltimore's front five.

During rookie minicamp, Ioane logged significant reps at right guard, according to CBS Sports' Carter Bahns. "Widely considered the best guard in the draft, Ioane fills a significant need on the interior offensive line for the Ravens," Bahns noted. "The question is where he will settle in. Ioane was primarily a left guard at Penn State but has experience on the right side of the line and at center."

This versatility is exactly what the Ravens need, especially after losing star center Tyler Linderbaum in free agency. Currently, Corey Bullock is the leading candidate to fill that middle spot, but it's a glaring hole that could be exploited if not addressed. Baltimore hasn't made a move to replace Linderbaum yet, leaving fans wondering if Ioane might slide into that role.

However, moving Ioane to center might not be the best call. He's too talented at guard to risk shifting him to a position where he's less natural. On the left side, John Simpson is a staple of the offensive line, so that spot is locked down. Right guard seems like the most logical landing spot for Ioane, but it would mean unseating Simpson—a tough ask given his consistency.

For now, the Ravens have options, and Ioane's arrival brings flexibility to a unit that needs it. Whether he starts at right guard, left guard, or even center, his presence is a major upgrade. Baltimore might be content with Bullock at center for now, but don't be surprised if Ioane's versatility leads to some creative lineup decisions as the season approaches.
