Evian's purse has more than doubled since 2021 after getting an increase of $1.1 million to $9.1 million for 2026.

The LPGA's major championships are making headlines for all the right reasons, as prize money continues to climb to historic levels. Just two days after the AIG Women's British Open announced its purse would reach $10 million, the Amundi Evian Championship has followed suit with a significant boost of its own.

The French major, set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Geneva at Evian Resort Golf Course, will see its total prize fund increase by $1.1 million to $9.1 million for the 2026 edition. This marks a remarkable trajectory—the tournament's purse has more than doubled since 2021, reflecting the growing investment in women's golf.

"Backed by the strong support of its Sponsors Club led by Amundi, Evian, Danone and Rolex, and further strengthened by the arrival of Hyosung, the tournament has decided, at the start of 2026, to raise its prize money for its 32nd edition," the tournament announced.

Scheduled for July 9-12, 2026, the Amundi Evian Championship serves as the fourth of five majors on the LPGA calendar. Golf fans will remember the 2025 edition as a thriller, where Australia's Grace Kim captured the title in a riveting playoff against then-world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul.

This latest increase follows a pattern of upward momentum across the LPGA's major events. Just last week, the Chevron Championship added $1 million to its purse, bringing it to $9 million. The U.S. Women's Open is expected to announce its 2026 prize fund at a later date, and anticipation is building for another potential record-breaker.

For fans and players alike, these purse increases signal a bright future for women's professional golf—and a testament to the sport's growing global appeal.
