St. Dominic Savio runner Mya Harris, our Faces off the field interview, is a sophomore who wants to run in college. She loves track. Just don't make her hangry.

Meet Mya Harris, a sophomore track and field star at St. Dominic Savio who's already setting her sights on college running. But before you ask her about personal bests or race strategies, make sure she's had lunch. "I get hangry really, really bad," she admits. "I will throw a fit if I do not get food within 30 minutes of me saying I'm hungry."

When she's not burning up the track, Mya's mind is on family, food, and future goals. Her favorite recent memory? A trip to Hawaii with her extended family. "I was with my cousins every day for a week straight doing crazy activities like zip lining in the mountains and hiking up a volcano," she says. It's that blend of adventure and togetherness that fuels her both on and off the track.

Music is another passion. Mya's already seen Tate McRae in concert once, but she's ready for round two. "She is literally my most favorite artist of all time. She's a triple-threat singer, dancer, and actress. Her songs are so relatable," Mya explains. "I would love to go see her a second time and hopefully be by the stage."

Ask Mya what would impress a caveman in modern times, and she doesn't skip a beat: "Huge commercial boats. They're so big and carry so much weight, yet they're still able to float. That's just crazy." It's that mix of wonder and practicality that defines her personality.

If she were cast in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Mya says she'd be Bashful. "He's a gentle, caring person to the other dwarfs, like me with my friends. He's also shy at first, but when you get to know him, you see his true colors. I feel like that's how I am, too."

Looking ahead, Mya's got big plans. "I hope to have a track scholarship for college and study to become a nutritionist or veterinarian. After graduating, I want to open my own business and go pro in track." Her freshman year state meet—where the team stayed in a hotel together—remains her favorite high school sports memory, a testament to how much she values teamwork and shared experiences.

Whether she's chasing a personal record, dreaming of Chipotle, or planning her future, Mya Harris is a runner with heart, ambition, and a healthy appetite for life.
