The Ole Miss Rebels have landed a major transfer portal prize, securing a commitment from former Tennessee guard Talaysia Cooper. The All-SEC standout announced her move on social media, giving Coach Yo's program a proven scorer for the upcoming season.
Cooper, a former five-star recruit who began her career at South Carolina, has been a consistent offensive force. She averaged 16.3 points per game over two seasons with the Lady Vols, leading the team in scoring both years and earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2025-26. Her ability to fill it up was on full display last season, as she scored 20 or more points in seven games, including a 30-point outburst in a game at Ole Miss.
Ranked as the third-best player in the transfer portal by CBS Sports, Cooper's arrival is perfectly timed for the Rebels. The team is coming off its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance but is set to lose several key contributors, including All-SEC forward Cotie McMahon. Cooper's experience and scoring punch will be vital as Ole Miss looks to reload and make another deep March run.
