The reigning IndyCar Series champion delivered a masterclass performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, securing pole position for the Sonsio Grand Prix for the third consecutive year. The Spaniard's blistering lap of 1m09.748s left the competition in the dust, with a commanding margin of over half a second.

"It's tough to get the car in good windows like these guys have been doing," said Palou, praising his #10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda crew. "Very happy to be in that #10 on the pole once again here. The car was amazing." The four-time champion's dominance on this 2.439-mile, 14-turn circuit is becoming legendary—he's now won the last three races here and will look to extend that streak from the front row.

The qualifying session was a frantic affair, with drivers pushing their machines to the limit. Arrow McLaren's Pato O'Ward put up a strong fight but had to settle for second, 0.5475s behind Palou. Meyer Shank Racing's Felix Rosenqvist claimed third, while Christian Lundgaard (Arrow McLaren), David Malukas (Team Penske), and Louis Foster (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing) rounded out the top six.

The action heated up early when Rosenqvist set the initial benchmark with a 1m10.547s lap, only to see Palou immediately respond with a 1m10.011s. Malukas impressed on used softer alternates, slotting into fifth, while Foster quietly delivered his best qualifying performance of the season with a sixth-place run.

As the session reached its climax, Palou dropped a stunning 1m09.780s with less than a minute remaining, securing the top transfer spot. O'Ward managed a 1m10.053s to hold second, ahead of teammate Lundgaard. With Palou's perfect record on this track and his undeniable momentum, all eyes will be on the #10 car when the green flag drops.
