After an incredible 500,000 fan votes, Palmeiras' iconic stadium has a new name: Nubank Parque. The announcement came this Monday, with the digital bank's option winning 47% of the total vote, beating out alternatives like Nubank Arena and Parque Nubank.
This name change marks a new chapter for the home of the Verdão. Since 2014, the arena was known as Allianz Parque, but a recent agreement between WTorre and Nubank has shifted the naming rights. The deal, which runs through 2044, will see Nubank pay an estimated $10 million (R$ 51 million) per year, with Palmeiras receiving a share of the revenue.
Starting next year, Palmeiras will take over full management and control of the stadium, a significant step for the club. For fans, the visual transformation is already underway, with the complete rebranding expected to be finished by July.
For those who love to show their team pride, this is a perfect moment to gear up in new Palmeiras merchandise.
