It was a monumental Wednesday night in Charleston, South Carolina, as AEW delivered a special three-hour combined broadcast of Dynamite and Collision, setting the stage for an action-packed weekend ahead of the Fairway to Hell event on Saturday.

The main event saw AEW World Champion Darby Allin defend his title against the fast-rising Kevin Knight. Allin's relentless pace of title defenses continued, but the question on everyone's mind was whether he could hold onto the championship against Knight's explosive offense. With several challengers lurking in the wings, this match was a true test of Allin's grit.

Earlier in the night, Kazuchika Okada put his AEW International Championship on the line against "The Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith. While a title change seemed unlikely—especially with Konosuke Takeshita waiting in the wings at Double or Nothing—Keith proved he was no pushover, pushing the champion to his limits in a hard-fought contest.

The evening began on an emotional note as Tony Schiavone paid tribute to former WCW owner Ted Turner, who passed away earlier Wednesday at age 87. Schiavone credited Turner for laying the foundation that made AEW possible, before welcoming out Sting. The Icon shared a heartfelt story about Turner's unwavering commitment to professional wrestling, noting that without him, there would be no Schiavone or Sting. Sting then reflected on his legendary run with Darby Allin and vowed to defend the AEW World Championship later that night. Schiavone highlighted the sideplates on the TNT and TBS Championships as symbols of the past, and the segment concluded with a moving 10-bell salute.

In the night's first title eliminator match, Jon Moxley submitted Juice Robinson in a hard-hitting Continental Championship bout. The intensity continued backstage, where Will Ospreay was seen training with the Death Riders. Daniel Garcia confronted him, saying, "You just got off a 15-hour flight. You win titles with your petty little dramatic friends in Japan. We do not care." Moxley warned Ospreay that if he didn't get his neck right, he was done, adding that Ospreay should consider it a privilege to be where he is.

In a thrilling Double Jeopardy Match, Orange Cassidy pinned Dax Harwood to earn the Conglomeration a significant victory, proving that even on a night of heavy emotions, the action inside the ring never stops.
