The Virginia Cavaliers have a new leader at the helm. Aaron Roussell was officially introduced in Charlottesville on Monday as the head coach of the UVA women's basketball program, marking an exciting new chapter for the storied team.

Roussell arrives with a formidable track record, fresh off a stellar tenure with the Richmond Spiders where he secured three straight NCAA Tournament berths. With over 450 career wins, he has consistently proven his ability to build winning programs, making him a standout choice for this ACC role.

For Roussell, the appeal of Virginia was immediate and powerful. He cited the program's rich tradition, exceptional resources, and a shared long-term vision as the decisive factors. "A selling point is the power to win here," Roussell stated, highlighting his commitment to player development. "The development that our staff feels comfortable doing to make people pros, that’s something we really took to heart. I want to develop pros."
