Chelsea may well be keeping the identity of their next new manager under wraps, like they did with Enzo Maresca.
Maresca was a name that came from nowhere and wasn’t really being heavily reported like many of the other names Chelsea were looking at and apparently interviewing.

Chelsea were being linked with many names at that time, including Ruben Amorim, Kieran Mckenna, Thomas Frank, and Roberto De Zerbi. But Maresca’s name wasn’t really a prominent feature in reports, until it suddenly accelerated and he was announced.
The same thing could be happening now, is a suggestion being made by The Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill this week as we await more news on who might be the next person in the hot seat for Chelsea.

‘I’m told there are more candidates who haven’t yet been made public for the Chelsea job as they’re whittling down a shortlist. Same as what happened when Maresca was hired ahead of McKenna, Frank, De Zerbi.’
I can see this being pretty accurate to be honest. Chelsea will probably do all they can to keep it as under wraps as they possibly can as they conduct their interviews and hire their next manager.
In the new manager hunt, sources all over are reporting that Chelsea have made contact with Andoni Iraola – and the reasons for that are pretty obvious.
Liam Rosenior called out his players after his last game in charge – and in many ways was proved right by their performance yesterday. Trevoh Chalobah has shrugged off these criticisms.
