The Blues were very quiet in January but that’s not expected to be the case in the summer, with a number of positions needing to be addressed.

Chelsea are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they are thought to want to add a midfielder and attacker.

It’s been reported Chelsea are open to targeting players with proven Premier League experience, but until that happens fans will remain sceptical.

The Blues have been linked with Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, and are thought to have renewed their interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, but it remains to be seen if they move for either player.

This is a critical summer for the Blues, and they simply can’t afford to have another poor window, and Ornstein has now provided an update.

“Chelsea have plans to improve their squad this summer, they’re looking for greater “emotional resilience and maturity”, he told NBC Sports as quoted on X.com.

“Players who are ready to start and impact straight away, this isn’t necessarily saying older or more experienced, or players who are used to playing in the Premier League, it’s just players who hit the above criteria.”
