The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona has once again spilled away from the pitch after comments made by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez created massive discussion across Spanish footbal...

The Clásico rivalry is heating up again—and this time, it's not on the pitch. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez stirred the pot earlier this week with a bold claim that has sent shockwaves through Spanish football. During a lengthy public appearance, Perez stated, "I've won seven Champions Leagues and seven La Liga titles out of 14, but I could have won all 14 La Liga titles because the rest were stolen from me."

Those words didn't take long to reach Barcelona's dressing room, and midfielder Fermin Lopez became one of the first Barça stars to fire back. Speaking on Cadena SER's 'Què T'hi Jugues,' the 21-year-old initially tried to keep things cool, saying, "Yes, we've seen it like everyone else, but we always focus on what's happening here." But when pressed, he didn't hold back.

"Everyone has their own view of things. I don't think it's right to say that Barça have stolen seven league titles because they had Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi. It's impossible," Lopez said, referencing the golden era that saw Barcelona dominate Spanish football. "Nor do we care. We're on our own path; we don't care what happens outside Barça. We're very focused on our own business."

Lopez, who has been a rising star for the Catalan giants, made it clear that the team is locked in on their current form and future success. "I don't mind because everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don't think it was right to say that. We're very focused on what's happening at Barça, who are going through a very good spell. I'm sure the trophies will come, and we're very happy with what we're doing."

As the rivalry continues to spark debates both on and off the field, one thing is certain: Barcelona's young core isn't backing down. With Lopez leading the charge, the Blaugrana are keeping their eyes on the prize—and ignoring the noise from Madrid.
