The Philadelphia 76ers are taking a creative approach to ensure their home court advantage isn't drowned out by visiting fans. In a strategic move that blends community outreach with playoff intensity, the team will donate 500 tickets for each of their remaining second-round home games against the New York Knicks.

This initiative, announced Friday, aims to pack the stands with passionate Philly supporters while giving back to the community. For Game 3, the Sixers will welcome 250 frontline medical heroes from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Penn Medicine, alongside 250 local educators selected by organizations like Learn Fresh and the School District of Philadelphia.

Game 4 shifts focus to families, with 500 mothers and children invited through community partners such as the Uplift Center for Grieving Children and the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia. It's a heartfelt play that puts the "home" in home court.

"We love this city and the intensity and passion of our fans," said 76ers owner Josh Harris in a statement. "This is also a tremendous opportunity to welcome fans who may not have otherwise had the chance to attend, so they can experience the Philly playoff energy live."

The move follows an earlier effort through Ticketmaster, where the team restricted sales to residents of the Greater Philadelphia area to prevent a Knicks fan takeover—a common challenge when rival fanbases travel well. Now, with the series tied in intensity if not in score (the Sixers trail 0-2), every seat counts.

Game 3 tips off at 7 p.m. EDT Friday, with Game 4 following Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Xfinity Mobile Arena. For fans lucky enough to snag a donated ticket, it's a chance to witness playoff basketball at its most electric—and to help keep the Wells Fargo Center (and the city's spirit) firmly in red, white, and blue.
