The Miami Valley's hardwood talent is taking center stage! Seven standout local basketball players have earned coveted invitations to the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) All-Star Game, showcasing the region's deep pool of skill.

On the boys' South team, three stars will represent the area: CJ Bailey of Tippecanoe, Trey Sagester of Tri-Village, and Wayne's Isaiah Thompson. They'll be joined on the girls' South team by a formidable quartet: Bella Cherry (Tri-County North), Alex Dixon (Urbana), Katey Litten (Versailles), and Kaylah Thornton (Fairmont).

Each player brings an impressive resume to this prestigious showcase. CJ Bailey, a Division III first-team All-Ohio selection, was the Southwest District Player of the Year, averaging 14.9 points and 4.9 assists. Trey Sagester, the D-VI Player of the Year, averaged a stellar 25.0 points per game, eclipsing 2,000 career points this season as a Mr. Basketball finalist. Isaiah Thompson, a D-I honorable mention, led Wayne in scoring, assists, and steals.

The girls' contingent is equally decorated. Bella Cherry led her conference in points and steals, while Alex Dixon averaged 22.3 points per game as a D-III third-team All-Ohio pick. Katey Litten was the Southwest District Player of the Year in D-V, and Kaylah Thornton capped a phenomenal season by leading Fairmont to a state championship, earning first-team All-Ohio honors in D-I and finishing as a Ms. Basketball finalist.

Mark your calendars for April 24th at Olentangy Liberty High School to watch these future stars compete. It's a perfect opportunity to see the next generation of basketball talent before they make their mark at the collegiate level.
