The 2026 NBA Draft is shaping up to be a big one for Arizona basketball, with six former Wildcats—including four from the program's Final Four run—earning invites to the prestigious NBA Draft Combine. This annual event, set for May 10-17 in Chicago, is a critical step for players hoping to hear their name called on draft night.
Among the 73 players invited are seniors Tobe Awaka and Jaden Bradley, alongside freshmen standouts Brayden Burries and Koa Peat. The list also features former Arizona players Kylan Boswell (Illinois) and Henri Veesaar (North Carolina), who finished their college careers elsewhere. For context, last year only Carter Bryant represented the Wildcats at the combine—and he went on to be picked 14th overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Bradley, meanwhile, tested the draft waters before returning to Tucson for his senior season.
An invite to the combine is a strong signal that NBA scouts see potential. While Peat is currently projected as a late first-round pick, ESPN reports that some scouts believe he could return to college. The deadline to withdraw from the draft and remain eligible for college basketball is May 27, giving players a few weeks to weigh their options. Burries and Peat were among 71 college players with remaining eligibility who declared for the draft; of those, more than 20 didn't receive combine invites. Many will instead participate in the G League combine, where a few standout performers can still earn a last-minute spot in the main event.
As the draft approaches on June 23, all eyes will be on these former Wildcats as they look to follow in the footsteps of recent UA success stories. Whether they stay in the draft or return to school, their journey is one every fan—and every basketball apparel enthusiast—will want to follow.
