As Fulwood Amateurs kicked off against Thornton Cleveleys on a muddy Lancastrian pitch, Tony’s five-decade adventure reached its historic conclusion. The match marked the final entry in a journey through hundreds of clubs in every corner of the country.

“It’s just overwhelming emotion,” Tony said after receiving a guard of honour from both teams. “To finally do it, on a glorious sunny day, with a lovely green pitch, is a great relief.”
